Green-lit! The dewy wood.
Tunnels and burrows, occupied hollows.
The stream slips back.
The source! The swell! The hidden well.
A mossied grove. A willowed hole.
The turning drives the mill.
Its mulling mills the grain.
The grain makes flour.
The flower makes dust.
The dust makes love and sweet perfume.
A babbling mouth!!
And when it runs still, beyond the mirror, down the well, there serpents dwell.
